How to find the right replacement hard drive for HP Pavilion DV6000?
I have recently found a hard drive failure and need for replace the hard drive, although I am not sure how to find a hard drive compatible with my DV6000. How can I find a compatible hard drive? Thanks in advance.
Out of your laptop and check the connections, whether its IDE (old type) or SATA, which is the new type. Laptop hard drives are 2.5 " while desktop drives and 3.5 ". For a laptop then 5400 is a good option instead of 7,200 rpm. Do not tell me what size from your hard drive it is, but if you buy one with more GB then make sure to find one that suits your needs with a capacity units are very large a little thicker (due to extra plates) and could not fit into the team.
