Remove any dirt or dust inside the computer case. Use wet clothes to clean it. Remove any plastic or metal plates that are preventing the access to drive bays.
Remove the input and output shield if the computer case did not have a motherboard installed. The input/output shield contains the connections for mouse, keyboard and other peripherals. You will need to replace this shield with your motherboard in later time.
Install power supply if your case do not have any power supply installed. Ensure that the wires point out toward the front and the fan lines up at the rear side. Set the power with required voltage.
Install the motherboard:
See whether your motherboard has central processing unit installed in it or not. If not, you need to install CPU.
Insert the processor at the correct direction. Open the socket to a vertical lay out and position the processor by lining up the pin 1 locations of the processor and motherboard. Close the socket.
Attach a CPU fan combination cooling unit and a heat sink to your processor using heat sink compound. Attach the cooling unit to the power connection on your motherboard.
Install memory sticks. Use the notch in the random access memory sticks and the plastic bridge on the motherboard socket to line the sticks up for insertion. Lock the RAM memory sticks in place.
Turn your computer case. Connect the motherboard to the case.
Connect the motherboard and fan to your power supply. Make sure to connect the motherboard to the power and reset switches. Replace the input /output shield if needed.
Install Drives and other peripherals
Attach any hard drives, compact disc or floppy drives that you will be using to the drive bays in the computer case.
Connect the drives to the motherboard using the IDE cables provided and to the power supply.
Insert sound card, video card, NIC card and other cards in the slots on the motherboard. Connect these to the motherboard. The computer repair experts suggest being very careful here.
Check all of your connections and close the computer case.
