both are dual cores. ony difference is the brand. is made by an Intel technology, the other is made by AMD. AMD is slightly better than intel. but bassically, which are the same. when the processor purchase, ake sure what the brand is compatible with the motherboard dual-core processor means that ur has two cores. imagine a guy with two brains! but the best today are the quad-core (4 cores)
