That is strange that the DVD drive has folders. Do you have a disk that now? Also, what is the number of make and model of the computer? I would assume your disks are IDE, and that is the most normal, but I realized that adding that information. You could try uninstalling the drives from the Device Manager and then reboot. Windows reinstall the drivers for both units when it is a backup.
