What are the main differences between the Dell Inspiron, XPS and Latitude laptops?

I have to buy a notebook for college, and I have a budget of about $ 900 to $ 1,200. I was wondering what are the differences between these three types of Dell laptops and which one I should buy.

The latitude line is aimed at business and is more durable. Latitudes have magnesium alloy cases and shock-resistant metal units. They look better too, no however, are generally more expensive, just in case the specs and you have to pay the tax when purchasing the site of the small business. Inspirons will focus on the consumer. They plastic boxes and are less expensive. It happens that I have owned both.
