One Laptop per person? How can open access to the network Africa? It is an excellent idea. Most of the funding has come of charat organizations and foundations, such as UNDP and the Gates Foundation. The people themselves can not actually pay any money, or their governments. The main problem I see is infrastructure. The organization is the first expansion in areas where it would be more effective in places that are still relatively poor who still have some finances. But, How are you going to get, even internet access or electricity? You need some type of funding to obtain these funds to these people. I think this would be an important step in a place like South Africa where there is little infrastructure and integration capacity is relatively easy. But, speaking of giving each child a laptop, you dont even have that amount of resources in the United States. I think it's an ambitious goal, but it will take a significant amount of time, planning, and monetary resources than ever before will be effective.
