Dirty Little Secrets Sale Price: $1.99 |

Is there any difference between the Core Solo and Core Duo (now really?)?
I have an Intel Core Solo clocked@1.8GHZ on my laptop with 2MB of cache Two Die Lele (L2) and my friend has an Intel Core Duo 2.0GHz clock speed with 1MBL2 2 MB cache per processor for shared (does that mean in terms real dual-core is only 200MHz faster?) test and its on 2 seconds faster with XP Pro and Vista ran better on my Core Solo (do not know could some1 explain why? perhaps the dynamics processor or L2 cache), we have all the same hardware, etc, as GMA 950 (i know it sucks for games, but saves a lot on drums, also has a desktop for that) So if u have a very intellegent answere i care if u dont add words or make sophisticated 50 pages long illness probably read anyway
Up until the software specifically coded to exploit the potential processing dual core, the main difference is multitasking - a dual core proc that will be less bogged down by multiple applications open at once from a single core - which can pay attention simultaneously to different calls better than the single core proc can. That is a very basic interpretation of it. For more information, you would have to tolerate a much more than they can write while I'm here at work:) but you might find on the web via Google quite easy (with a search for "a united front dual-core" as the phrase or somewhere like Tom's Hardware)
