I have a macbook pro shell, the hard drive died. I know, I have a dual core pc, ¿I can change the parts?
I have a macbook pro shell. The hard drive died, and my warranty expired. I have a Lenovo notebook PC with a dual core processor and 3 GB of RAM. I can put the pieces in my shell, and run Leopard yet?
In theory Yes, as long as the Lenovo is a fairly new one that uses a SATA hard drive. You can then paste into that, MacBook Pro boot with the installation CD, and reinstall the OSX disk from Lenovo. This will erase the entire disk, while Lenovo. However, a new 2.5 "disk SATA drive is not that expensive from somewhere like Amazon, Newegg or Tiger Direct. You can get a replacement for the Mac without plundering fairly cheap Windows laptop.
