Is it necessary to install Tablet XP Tablet Edition for my work?

Do I need to install XP Tablet Edition for my Tablet to work as Tablet laptop I have an Acer C300 that i installed Windows XP Pro on it and the tablet will not work with touch screen, any help.thanks thanks!

You need to install a compressed version of the operating system because it has the correct drivers for the touchscreen to work. I think that Vista and Windows 7 are normally touchscreen drivers, but XP does not. If you want to use it as a tablet, not just use the regular XP
