"I can use my acoustic guitar amplifier for an electric drum kit?
I have a Fender Acoustasonic Junior, I'm getting a battery power, and was wondering if you can only connect a Roland TD-4 electronic drum kit in the amplifier, while half sounds right? I do not want ruin my amp, because I regularly play guitar on it ... Thanks.
It will make noise, but it is far from ideal. Guitar amplifiers are optimized for, uh ... guitars. That means a limited purpose low and high, and peaked at midrange normal. Electronic drums have a frequency range very large (think from the hype to the top hat). You would be better with a keyboard amp or small PA. You want something that will handle level output drum line of the brain, and have a wide frequency response, which usually means having a bigger speaker and some sort of horn or tweeter. Good luck.
